The Six Hats Approach to Better Meetings

Question: Why are meetings almost universally loathed? Answer: because most meetings are terrible.

Collaboration is great - we know can do things together that we cannot do alone - but collaboration is hard. In this workshop we will introduce "lateral thinking" as a method of managing group meetings. We will show you how to steer a productive path between collaboration as argument and collaboration as hug, raising your awareness of the different kinds of conversation that happen at meetings, which ones are useful when, and how to manage the flow to yield more productive and less awful meetings.
